Active Ingredients
• Lactic Acid (24%) – an alpha hydroxy acid (AHA) naturally found in milk and sugars. It breaks down the bonds between cells known as desmosomes to allow for easier exfoliation of dead surface cells while hydrating the skin, and inhibiting melanogenesis the cycle by which our skin creates pigmentation.
• Trichloroacetic Acid (TCA) (10%) – a stronger and deeper peeling acid that helps minimise the appearance of fine lines, wrinkles, and acne scarring.
Key Ingredients
• Alpha-Lipoic Acid (Thioctic Acid) – a natural compound with antioxidant and anti-inflammatory properties that interferes with the internal pathways of hyperpigmentation.
• Emblica – a botanical also known as Indian gooseberry or the Malacca tree. It contains a high concentration of tannins, which have been shown to reduce discoloration and the visible signs of aging.
• Silymarin – a powerful antioxidant that provides anti-inflammatory benefits and has a protective effect against UVA-induced oxidative stress. It suppresses UVB-induced skin oedema and the formation of sunburn cells.

The Journey Begins: Brave Steps Towards Radiant Skin
Our patients first Ultra Peel session marked the beginning of her journey to radiant skin. The treatment consisted of a facial double cleanse with the PCA Skin Facial Wash Oily/Problem to thoroughly clean the treatment area, followed by an application of PCA Skin Hydrating Toner, this product removes any access cleanser from the skin and balances the pH of the skin allowing Hannah the practitioner to determine our patients level of skin sensitivity prior to the peel application. The PCA Skin Ultra Peel application is a quick and measured dosage delivered to the skin by a brush for precision and comfort. Once a thin even layer is applied to the skin our patient is then fanned until the solution is dry and this also calms any irritation or discomfort felt from the acids working into the superficial layers of the skin. Once our patient is comfortable to proceed the process is repeated one more time to complete the application as two layers to the skin.
Note: the peel is left on the skin and the rest of the treatment is layered on top.
The treatment concludes with an application of the PCA Skin Rebalance moisturiser which is rich in anti-inflammatory and antioxidant ingredients and PCA Skin Broad Spectrum Hydrator SPF30 to protect the treatment area post treatment. Our patient leaves with the protocol on the skin and will not remove until the following morning using the PCA Skin Post Procedure Solution Kit provided by Hannah who continually monitored our patients progress over the next 7 days.
Despite the downtime and expected tenderness, our patient remained committed, trusting the process.
